Databases…Your Access to the Past, Present, and Future

Sallie Logan Public Library patrons have access to many databases providing both recent and historical information.
In addition, patrons can get book reviews and recommendations for future reading as well as resume help
and practice driving tests.

This free online driver education program contains multiple practice tests for car, motorcycle and CDL as well as driver manuals and a FAQ section with detailed answers to over 100 DMV-related questions. Click the icon above to begin.

Authorization and password must be obtained from the library staff.


OmniFile (EBSCOhost) offers users access to full-text articles from over 3,000 publications, across a variety of general subjects including applied sciences, art, education, humanities, law, social sciences and technology. Click on the picture to access OmniFile.


HeritageQuest is a rich resource for genealogical research with access to census records, military records, immigration records, city directories and much more.  Funded by the Friends of the Sallie Logan Public Library.

NewsBank historical database includes newspapers, books, and other materials dating back to the 1700’s. Users can research the sinking of the Titanic or the assassination of Abraham Lincoln with original newspaper sources. Users can also do genealogy research using these resources.
